New Canaan Library Summer Reading Program Survey

Dear Parents of children participating in the New Canaan Library’s Summer Reading Program-

Hello, my name is Casey Bennett. I am currently a graduate student at Southern Connecticut State University. Summertime can often mean young students losing ground in their academic achievement. However, research shows participation in summer reading programs can curb this summer learning loss. I am asking for your help in evaluating the New Canaan Library summer reading program and its impact on your children.

An anonymous survey has been created for you and your child and is expected to take 20 minutes. The parent survey is first (32 questions), followed directly by the child survey (25 questions). Please be present and supervise the completion of the survey by your child. All participation is voluntary, and you can chose to withdraw your participation at any time. There is no compensation for responding nor is there any risk. After the survey is complete your participation has ended. 

Survey Start Date- Friday July 20, 2012

Survey End Date- Friday August 17, 2012
